Value Rocks

Hello,

Ruma Kereru have been making value rocks to hide around the school for the juniors. First we wrote out all of the school values on a peice of paper, then we wrote a small sentence next to each value that relates to the value. After those had been checked, Miss Lang told us to go and find 4 flat  rocks to write our values on. After we had all  gathered our rocks we got called in to paint them. We put some ideas on the television so everyone had something to paint. We put on some painting tops and covered the desks with newspaper. Then we each got a paint pallet between 3 people with blues, green, yellow, white, red, orange and black. There where water jars on every few desks.

Finally we got to start to paint! I did a monster, a ladybug, a sunset and some dotty rocks. I really enjoyed painting them but when we were finished we had to wait for them to dry. The next day we painted the backs of the rocks white or a light colour. Some people haven’t finished painting the backs yet. Today we are going to write our values and sentences on the back. I really like the finished result.

Have you ever made painted rocks?
