Yesterday we started to make simile poems. First we had to write down what colour we were doing our poem about my colour is Silver. Then we write some things that were our colour,Some of my things were,Full moon,necklace,Trophy, cutlery, concrete,Key, shell and metal.

Here is my Work

Silver 

Silver is a Polished Necklace         

Silver is a second place Trophy      

Silver is fresh cutlery   

Silver is a tall netball hoop 

Silver is freshly poured Concrete 

Silver is a graceful Key         

Silver is a pipi Shell

Silver is a full Moon

Silver is a  see through crystal

In class on Monday  learned about a cinqain poem the one that we saw was one about Basket Ball. I learned the a cinqain poems first line Starts with the title of the poem,The second line is  two adjectives. The  third line is three verbs,next a small impact statement And the last line is a synonym.I did a ciqain about keas. I found choosing a subject tricky and Finding Adjectives easy.Have you ever made a ciqain poem before? 

 

Today at school we did poetry, first we read a poem called Meet our water whanau. Next we were asked to write  a poem in the same stalye the poem we read. Insted we where going to write one about  our Forest whanau. Then we wrote a few things on the whiteboard to help us with writing our poems. This is my finshed poem.

Today at school we did poetry we had to get out our poetry book, glue stick and a pencil. Then Mrs Thomson handed out a poem about feelings, then we glued the poem in to our poetry book. After that we had to put the short date on the next page in the corner,then we had to write our own poem like the poem about feelings that we did today  in our poetry book, the first pargragh was sposted to be  about what makes you cheaful, then what makes you sad and finally what makes you angry.
